Throughout my Manufacturing Engineering HNC experience, I have enjoyed the relaxed feel of the course, as there has been ample time to learn the material and complete assignments. Knowing I can ask for help with my HNC makes me want to complete the course to the best of my ability, which makes it a very enjoyable experience.
Harry Mogg
HNC in Manufacturing Engineering for England
The HNC course has offered me the opportunity to rediscover the basis of scientific study in the engineering fields. The study of mechanical principles and engineering science has been of particular interest to me.
Mark Young
HNC in General Engineering
“The best part of my apprenticeship was the opportunity to learn while on the job. I thrive in environments where I can apply new knowledge directly, and the apprenticeship provided a great balance of theory and practical application.”
Liam Johnson
Business Administrator (Level 3)
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship here at Miller UK and have been fortunate enough to be presented with many opportunities to further my skills and knowledge in different departments”
Daniel Young

“Don’t be afraid of challenges – they make you stronger. Every time you think you can’t do something, push yourself to do it and you will be amazed of what you can achieve.”
Renata Kozlovskaja

“I am currently undergoing a Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering. I am now in the final year of my four-year course and have enjoyed every second of it as I have learnt not only about the practical area of the industry but the academic side too.”
Nicholas Scorer
“I am the first-ever female apprentice on the Washington plant with BAE to be taken on in maintenance. There were a few females in the office when I visited but I was the only young female on the shop floor. It’s good to see the progression towards more women being employed in Engineering.” – Jenny

“TDR has taught me the foundations to the different aspects of engineering along with the importance of health and safety in the workplace. This has helped me progress quickly within my apprenticeship, developing my skillset and knowledge further. The practical skills which I picked up at TDR were put to use straight away, giving me the confidence to carry out specific tasks by myself.”
