Electrical – Alfie Taggart – JDR Cables
Alfie has worked very well on the section. All his jobs were very tidy and professional. Alfie produced very good UPK’s, he was always on time and has a great attitude towards work.
Fitting – Evan Smith – British Engines
Evan’s work has been of a high standard from the very start of this Fitting rotation. He always completed well within the time allocated and always at a great standard. His finishing work on his assessment was a particular high point, going well above the required scale needed to gain a pass. Excellent work on both assessments and paperwork. Well done.
Mechanical – Lee Harrison – Country Style
Lee has progressed well throughout the mechanical unit and has been doing his work to a high standard. Lee’s hard work and dedication in getting his work done when asked has shown with him gaining knowledge in the mechanical field.
Milling – Ewen McCourt – Trinity
After due thought and consideration, I think it is right to offer the prestigious award to Ewen McCourt. He has shown himself to be very capable on the machine and his quality is very good as is his pride in the work itself. His finished parts have got better each time
Turning – Layth Tabet – BEL Engineering
A close call from a very good group in turning, but Layth stood out as one of the strongest. Layth had a bit of a slow start to the section but soon got to grips with it and was consistently producing a high standard of product. His two assessment jobs were excellent both hitting all the dimensional tolerances.
Welding – Ewan Armstrong – Chieftain
This was a very good performance by Ewan, he has consistently delivered good results and made excellent progress in developing his welding skills. His positive attitude to learning has seen him complete all documentation ahead of schedule and to a high standard. Combined with his excellent timekeeping and attendance, Ewan has demonstrated his commitment to his training.
