Business administrators are found in most industries, including retail, hospitality, finance, health care, logistics, supply chain management, marketing, sales, and information technology. As a business administrator, you can work in human resources, project management, accounting, or operations.


Typical Tasks

  • Dealing with queries on the phone, by email and social media
  • Greeting visitors at the reception
  • Typing letters and reports
  • Updating computer records
  • Printing and photocopying
  • Ordering supplies
  • Setting up meetings and taking notes during them
  • Making travel arrangements for staff

Entry criteria

4 or 5 GCSEs at grade 9 to 3 (A* to D) including English and Mathematics for a Level 2 Business Administration Framework


Typical duration

12 -15 months
