An Engineering Design and Draughtsperson tends to be found in engineering design offices in both large and small companies. They produce technical drawings and designs using traditional draughting techniques or by using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
The production of technical/engineering drawings and models is an essential part of the engineering process and the work is undertaken in all aspects of the industry including equipment/tool manufacture, large and small-scale engineering/construction projects, maintenance work scopes, etc.
4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Math’s for a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
