Engineering Apprenticeship Access Programme

Due to the continued success of the Engineering Apprenticeship Access Programme (EAAP), TDR is looking to run our 7th cohort in November. Details of the programme are as follows:

Start Date: Monday 9th November 2020
Duration: 30 weeks
Time: 37 hours per week, Monday — Thursday 08:00 — 16:00 6 Friday 08:00 — 12:30
Location: TDR Training & Development Centre, Scotswood Road. Newcastle upon Tyne. NE15 6BZ and/or TDR, Q1, Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8EX

Candidates will study towards a Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering with the ultimate aim of progressing into a Level 3 engineering apprenticeship on completion of the programme.

During the programme candidates will complete units in the following areas:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Maintenance
  • Machining
  • Welding
  • Fitting and Assembly

This will hopefully lead into an engineering apprenticeship where the programme has a high success rate of progression.

The EAAP is suitable for anyone who already holds a GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics, who doesn’t hold the Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering qualification and would like a career in Engineering.
