We have an exciting new opportunity and are looking for an enthusiastic manufacturing engineer who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers! The successful candidate will be experienced in the maintenance and applications of mechanical systems and familiar with mechanical measurement and inspection techniques. If you are a time served at level 3 and are motivated to take on the challenge, it would be great to hear from you!

 

About the role

This role would suit someone from a mechanical maintenance background who is looking for a new challenge that allows you to support and mentor apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout the apprenticeship programme. Full teacher training progression will be offered as part of the role to enhance your own personal development.

 

About the person

The successful candidate will be someone who can bring not just industry knowledge and experience, but who can impart life skills and teach the apprentices to be effective and invaluable members of their workforce.

 

Experience

  • Relevant industrial/vocational experience
  • Practical experience and knowledge of maintenance, applications of mechanical systems, mechanical measurement and inspection techniques

 

Desired

  • Experience of assessing, verifying and standardising
  • Recent experience in a teaching or training position in further education or professional setting
  • Experience of planning learning programmes, reviewing and assessment including for apprenticeship Standards

 

Qualifications

  • Subject relevant qualification – time served at Level 3
  • Teaching Qualification or prepared to complete a teaching qualification within a given timescale
  • English and Maths GSCE grade C or above or equivalent
  • Assessor award and/or Verifier award or willing to work towards within a given timescale
