TDR Training in Longbenton focuses on building the next generation of skilled professionals through hands-on, high-quality apprenticeship programs. Each rotation allows our learners to refine their technical skills and make strides toward their careers, and several apprentices have excelled in the latest round. We are pleased to highlight these exceptional individuals as ‘Apprentices of the Rotation.’
Electrical – Jake Griffith
Jake Griffith’s performance has been outstanding in the Electrical rotation. His dedication to completing his Understanding, Performance, and Knowledge assessments (UPKs) on time and to a very high standard sets him apart. His ability to maintain quality under deadlines signals a promising future in the electrical field.
Hand Fitting – Lee Harrison
Lee Harrison has shown an exceptional commitment to both the practical and theoretical sides of Hand Fitting. His work throughout the section has consistently been outstanding, and he’s always eager to learn and improve. Lee’s relentless dedication to refining his skills makes him a deserving winner from a highly competitive group.
Mechanical – Lewis Illingworth
From week one, Lewis Illingworth has been an industrious and eager learner, taking on each task with enthusiasm. His ability to tackle challenging tasks head-on has consistently made him among the first to complete assignments. Lewis’s strong work ethic and dedication will make him a valuable addition to any future workforce.
Milling – Thomas Patterson
The Milling rotation was highly competitive, but Thomas Patterson stood out for his steady improvement and commitment. Since the start of the section, Thomas has shown the most progress, pushing himself to improve and refine his skills. His continuous effort reflects his dedication to excelling in this technical field.
Turning – Will Crookes
Will Crookes began the Turning rotation a bit apprehensively, but he quickly picked up the pace and hasn’t looked back. His growth has been notable, and he has consistently produced high-quality products on the lathe. Will’s progress and newfound confidence are a testament to his dedication and adaptability.
Welding – Luke Calvin
After a very close selection process, Luke Calvin was chosen as the ‘Apprentice of the Rotation’ in Welding. Luke’s extra attention to detail in cleaning and preparing his welds for inspection has set him apart. His dedication to ensuring his work meets the highest standards of craftsmanship highlights his commitment to quality and precision, making him a standout in this rotation.
