Job Title: Learning and Development Tutor
Employment Term: Permanent, full time
Salary: £31k to £36K per annum
Work Location: North East, In person
Schedule: Monday to Friday

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer (Machining) to join our Curriculum delivery team and pass on their industry knowledge to the next generation of Engineers! The successful candidate will be experienced in Mechanical workshop skills, including Milling, Turning & CNC and be able to deliver theoretical and practical learning programmes to apprentices up to their level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.

About the role

This role would suit someone from a machining background who are looking for a varied and new career that allows you to support and mentor apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout the apprenticeship programme. Full teacher training progression will be offered as part of the role to enhance your personal development.

 

About the person

The successful candidate will be someone who can bring not just industry knowledge and experience, but who can impart life skills and teach the apprentices to be effective and invaluable members of their workforce.

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification ir be prepared to work towards one.
  • Have completed a Level 3 or above Engineering qualification and Apprenticeship.
  • Have up to date knowledge and experience if the Engineering industry.
  • Be flexible and self-motivated with a passion for learner achievement and a commitment to quality.
  • Have experience with Microsoft office software.

 

Desired Qualities:

  • Have proven experience of delivering Level 2 / Level 3 Engineering courses in machining.
