Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

Overview

The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is the only assessor qualification that allows you to practise as a fully qualified assessor.

This is a modern, recognised Level 3 assessing vocational achievement certification that came to replace the previous A1\2 and D32\33 assessor qualification.

By the end of this course, you will be ready for a career in evaluating vocational competencies for a range of qualifications, such as apprenticeships, NVQs, awards, certificates and diplomas.

Training & Content

Duration:  3 – 6 months

• Unit 1 will be assessed through a variety of assignments.
• Unit 2 will be assessed in a work environment,
• practically assessing learners work
• Unit 3 will be assessed through you producing work in a workplace or training environment.

Unit One: Understanding the principles & practices of assessment

On completion of this unit you will:

• Understanding the principles, requirement and practices of assessment
• Understand different types of assessment method and how to plan assessment
• Understand how to make assessment decisions and comply with the quality assurance of the assessment process
• Understand the legal and good practice requirements in relation to the assessment

Unit Two: Assess occupational competence in the work environment

On completion of this unit you will:

• Be able to make assessment decisions about occupational competence
• Be able to provide required information following the assessment of occupational competence
• Be able to plan the assessment of occupational competence

Unit Three: Assess vocational skills, knowledge & understanding

On completion of this unit you will:

• Be able to prepare assessments of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
• Be able to carry out assessments of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
• Be able to provide required information following the assessment of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

Certification

TDR Certificate of competence will be awarded upon completion of the training course.
