Apprentice Workshop Technician

General Description

The function of the Workshop Technician is to assist the Supervisor – Workshop with completion of all repair, service and calibration of company owned and customer equipment repairs/refurbishment. A fantastic job starting in January 2025.

Main Duties

What you’ll do at work

The apprentices would under take the relevant training to be able to do the following tasks on completion of their apprenticeship:

  • Service, repair, test and calibration of all equipment
  • Painting, use of abrasive equipment and machines
  • Handling and assembling of new equipment
  • Fault finding and determining proper solutions
    Provide service and customer support where needed
  • Interpret engineering drawings
  • Identify quality issues
  • Factory maintenance, ensuring the factory area is always kept tidy and safe
  • Suggest improvements which could be made to improve efficiency
  • Report any health and safety risks or raise queries of same
  • Reporting safety observations, both negative and positive, via the HSSE Portal
  • Ensure all HSSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization
  • Proactively participate to safety awareness and improvement
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally
  • Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that health & safety comes first at all times
  • Ensure all HSSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization
