Business Administration Apprentice (Komatsu)


General Description

You will undertake on the job training in the Purchasing Department as well as gaining insight into administrative activities in other functions across the business. In conjunction with our external training provider TDR (Training and Development Resource Ltd) you will work to achieve your NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration

Main Duties

What will the apprentice be doing?

During your apprenticeship you will:

  • Develop interpersonal skills, in particular Communication, Team Work, Responsibility, Motivation and Continuous improvement;
  • Understand how to work safely and the importance of following policies and procedures;
  • Have the opportunity to rotate within many individual functions of Procurement, developing skills and systems knowledge including Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Logistics, Negotiation and Vendor management;
  • Support the department with general administrative tasks such as orders, invoicing, reports and key performance indicators;
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of wider business administration work through assisting with administration work in other departments.

Future Prospects

You will also complete a CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply and become a full time member of staff
