Laboratory Technician Apprentice (TOR Coatings)

General Description

The role involves working in the QC (Quality Control) Laboratory assisting in batch sample testing. In addition, the role involves ensuring that the laboratory is kept stocked with all consumables i.e. cans, gloves, pipettes etc. and also that the lab is kept clean.

Main Duties

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The role will involve testing factory made batch samples to an agreed specification on equipment in the QC (Quality Control) Laboratory.

The role will be based in the QC Laboratory.

Possibility of a permanent position within the company.

Things to Consider

In time candidates shifts will be –  6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm and 10pm – 6am pattern. Due to these shifts candidates must be aged 18+ or 17 and turning 18.

Successful candidates will also be required to work at least 13 Saturdays (6am – 2pm) per year.

A basic chemistry background would be helpful, but we will train on site.
