Summary of role:

Our warehouse team are responsible for receiving all goods that come into site including the raw materials we use in our pharmaceutical production. As well as this, the team plan all movement and storage of goods around the site, and dispatch all finished goods to our customers.

State of the art technology enables the team to plan logistics, alongside tracking every good’s location, storage method requirements and regulatory requirements to ensure high standards, alongside flexibility and efficiency.  The team work closely with the procurement, production and finance teams, so this is a varied role which provides a real understanding of how logistics and supply chains work.

The apprenticeship is a two year course with the opportunity to continue onto a higher level.

As a Warehouse Apprentice you will work towards a Level 3 City and Guilds qualification in business administration, whilst learning about how the warehouse and logistics work, including goods in, warehouse management and despatch.

Your role will involve administration tasks including:

  • Departmental support
  • Booking goods into the warehouse
  • Documentation creation and collation
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Data input in excel and our warehouse management system
  • You will receive on the job training and mentoring from our professionals, in a range of logistical processes in a busy production environment

Key to your success, will be the ability to develop relationships across all levels within the organisation, time management and organisational skills, as well as enthusiasm and commitment.

The apprenticeship will be a combination of work based learning and college/remote studying with workplace visits.  You will receive support from our apprenticeship training provider, as well as a work based mentor.

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Candidates should have a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 4-9 or A-C in maths and English and Science (Scottish National 5 A-C or standard grades 1-3) or AS/A Level (Scottish Highers)
  • We will interview on predicted grades
